An introduction

About this place.

Nuvellist — Awakening is a series created by Konstantin Kulakov for the Museum of Nostalgia and Artclub. It combines piano music from old issues of the score publication Nuvellist with themed stories about Saint Petersburg. Pianist Ekaterina Andrianova takes part in the programme. This is a series of meetings, so its name does not refer to a separate permanent venue.

A concert in two parts is combined with a museum presentation. Themes include the history of sound recording, photography, communication and nineteenth-century daily life. The series description includes encounters with historical equipment and documents, tea and conversation during the interval. It may appeal to piano listeners and visitors who enjoy exploring museum objects with a storyteller.

Before booking, confirm the date and address on +7 (812) 900-33-38 or on the page for the specific evening. Different publications name venues on Nevsky Prospect and Kazanskaya Street; the overview page contains an inconsistent date range. Its general timetable therefore does not confirm the venue and time of the next meeting.
